Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums

Painting It Forward: A refreshed look for Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums.

America’s first presidential library renovated to commemorate its 100th anniversary with a donation from the PPG Pittsburgh Paints brand’s PAINT FOR A CHANGE™ initiative and support from Color Haven Paint & Supply.

Fresh paint and color were needed to revamp the exhibits of the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums after years of wear and tear. The museum needed a protective coating that would withstand the many visitors that will visit in the years to come.

The PPG Pittsburgh Paints brand, Color Haven Paint & Supply and local community members teamed up to bring a fresh coat of paint to the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums in Fremont, Ohio, which comprises the home, library, museum, tomb and 25-acre estate of 19th U.S. President Rutherford B. Hayes. As part of the Paint For A Change community outreach initiative, more than 100 gallons of premium durable and stain resistant PPG Pittsburgh Paints REGENCY® Paint+Primer-In-One interior paint were donated for the project. The painting updates were completed by volunteers and local painting company May Painting as part of a larger $1.3 million renovation project that was unveiled during their large centennial celebration.
